Earl E. Literacy Ready to Travel the World

If you don’t know the Salt Lake City Public Library Spokespuppet, Earl E. Literacy, it’s time you became better acquainted!

Earl is ten years old and loves to read, learn, and meet new people, and he wants you to help him have exciting adventures this summer.

You may have heard of the Flat Stanley Project and Earl has too. Earl wants to have the chance to visit people and places all over and wants you to take him along as you visit new and interesting locations this summer. So, download Flat Earl by clicking here, print Earl out, and take a picture of him with you when you visit new places this summer. Email your photos to Earl eliteracy@slcpl.org and we’ll put them in a slideshow at the end of the summer that you can watch on YouTube.

To see all of Earl’s interviews, including Marc Brown of Arthur, Gail Carson Levine, who wrote Ella Enchanted and John Flanagan, author of Ranger’s Apprentice, go to The City Library’s YouTube channel.
