Works by 8th and 9th Grade Students from Syracuse Arts Academy Jr. High
Reception: Mon, Apr 14, 6:30–8pm
The exhibitors are 8th and 9th grade students from Syracuse Arts Academy Jr. High. These students receive a comprehensive focus on the arts to demonstrate proficiency through performance.
Exhibited art addresses the elements of art into the principles of design. The concepts of using line and proportion to create shoes, as well as using line, shape, movement, and balance to create oriental ink paintings is just the beginning. Other artwork shown includes charcoal eyes, paper relief sculptures, two point perspective landscapes, still life drawings, photography, and abstract expressionism. The students are grateful for this opportunity to share their enthusiasm for the visual arts.
