Digital Landscapes

Reception: Mon, Jan 27, 6:30-8:30pm
Artist's Talk: Mon, Jan 27, 7pm

I moved to Utah in the spring of 2012. The digital landscapes in this show grew out of a series I created last winter called “Made in Utah”. The “Made In Utah” pieces and the “Digital Landscapes” are based off of my photographs of Utah. I break the images down into their simplest form of black and white lines, then recolor the landscapes digitally. Some of the pieces in this show are screen prints based on the photos and others are the digital images printed on canvas.

For the last 7 years I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world and create. I’ve taken my art to 12 countries and all 50 states while making art full time. I’ve shown my work in galleries in London, Berlin, Vienna, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Miami, Chicago, Salt Lake City, Portland, and Eugene, Oregon. I create what doesn’t exist. If I knew the outcome before the final result I would change it. I’m creating modern art inspired by music, street art, and zoo animals. I make art every day. I’m an artist. May this encourage art and adventure in your life.
