ARTIST'S STATEMENT/BIOGRAPHY

After receiving years of art instruction from phenomenal teachers, I share this collection of paintings that has ignited my imagination, centering on the bloom of nature, faith, heritage and family. Besides self expression, my goal is to provide the viewer an opportunity to participate in a colorful visual experience by noting that the suggestion of a scene is more important than the completed statement.

Having the privilege of raising 4 children with my husband, has been among the most harrowing and exhilarating experiences of my life. Soon after our youngest child was born, I followed a strong prompting. That tiny flicker of inspiration evolved into a burning desire to learn everything about the world of visual art. From landscape watercolor beginnings, to pastel, pencil and acrylic, the medium that has stolen my fine art heart is portrait painting. Although there is nothing quite like the freshness and spontaneity of a beautifully executed watercolor painting of just about any subject. Therefore, I present in this exhibit, a compilation of my heart: faith, family and fine art. Enjoy.
