In conjunction with the ongoing Worlds of Fantasy event at the Salt Lake City Public Library, please join series host, Alf Seegert, in welcoming Tracy Hickman, International and New York Times best selling author of speculative fiction (Dragonlance, Deathgate Cycle, Wayne of Gotham) as he conducts this character and plot deconstruction of Tolkien's Middle Earth.

Following this presentation is a Q&A limited to the first 55 attendees. A signing will follow the Q&A in the Urban Room of the Main Library.

This series of discussions will be be hosted by Dr. Alf Seegert, from the University of Utah department of English. Seegert's research focuses on "cybercultural ecologies," examining the interpenetrating relationships between nature, virtuality, and narratives as represented in literature, film, and new media. His current research focuses specifically on the role of the Fantastic in relation to virtuality and nature.
