Pop in to The City Library for a pop-up book event with
famed paper engineer Robert Sabuda.
Sabuda is well known for his intricate pop-up books that come to life as each page is turned. His detailed and complex works of art have landed him on the New York Times Bestsellers’ list for children, though his dazzlingly designed books appeal to readers of all ages.
Sabuda’s talk is presented in conjunction with the exhibit Pop-ups: Books that Spring to Life from the collection of Ann Montanaro Staples, featuring moveable books from throughout the last century, and as part of the Movable Book Society’s annual convention.
A reception will follow Sabuda's presentation on Level 4 in Special Collections.
