• Art Exhibit Call For Entries Submission Deadline: October 10

    The City Library hosts art exhibitions at all of our locations to expose residents to new art forms and ideas, to foster creativity and inspire curiosity, and to provide exhibition opportunities for the artistic community. Exhibits are chosen by a staff committee according to the needs and interests of the community, the variety of shows, the artistic quality of the works, and the suitability of format for each Library's physical space.

    Experience live performance art suitable for all ages and interests. Thirteen local and international artists will fill one of Salt Lake City's most remarkable buildings with thought-provoking pieces that should be experienced live and in-person.

  • First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare On exhibit at the Main Library Oct 8–31

    Marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death, "First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare" is a nationwide, touring exhibition. The wonderful book in this exhibition, the 1623 First Folio, includes 36 of Shakespeare's plays, 18 of which were originally printed only in the Folio.

The Salt Lake City Library hosts art exibits throughout the year. We also lists citywide exhibits here and in our events calendar. If you are a local artist, click on "Call for Entries" to get involved.

CALL FOR ENTRIES

Exhibits are chosen by a staff committee according to the needs and interests of the community, the variety of shows, the artistic quality of the works, and the suitability of format for each library's physical space. Submissions are accepted twice annually: during the two-week periods prior to April 10 and October 10.



TEEN ART EXHIBIT CALL FOR ENTRIES

Teen artists and art instructors, submit your or your student's portfolio to be featured at The City Library! We are always on the lookout for original art exhibitions for the Main Library's Canteena Space on Level 2, and welcome submissions year-round.
