Dewey Lecture Series

In 2003, The City Library System celebrated the opening of the new Main Library. As part of the celebration, we planned the first annual Dewey Lecture Series featuring monthly programs with noted experts from across the country and around the world. This year, we're bringing a new lineup of wonderful speakers for the series.

The Dewey Lecture Series is a particularly appropriate title. Melvil Dewey's classification system was a revolutionary process that brought order to the general knowledge of the world. The system established categories and hierarchies of information that allowed us to see and understand the relationships among ideas, which is what we hope audiences will take away from the series.

Please call (801) 524-8200 for more information.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE LECTURES LATER THIS YEAR.
